(3) The works include the construction of a dedicated two-lane bus transitway in the median of the Kwinana Freeway from Judd Street to Manning Road. Buses and freeway traffic will be separated, in general, by an 800 mm high concrete barrier topped by a railing to a total height of 1200 mm. Other works include: - construction of a passenger transfer station at the Canning Highway interchange (including platforms at the freeway level); - construction of a bus-only bridge at Canning Highway interchange; - widening of the Canning Highway overpass bridge to accommodate a new bus lane and bus platform; - demolition of existing and construction of new footbridges at Comer Street, Preston Street and Thelma Street; and - modifications to the central support of the Cale Street footbridge.
