My question was submitted to the parliamentary secretary representing the Minister for Planning and Infrastructure; however, I was advised earlier today that the question has been directed to the Minister for Housing and Works. (1) Has the minister instructed that a portion of the Swanbourne High School redevelopment site be retained for public housing; and, if yes, has a specific location on the site been nominated? (2) Will the development of the public housing on the Swanbourne High School redevelopment site be a State Housing Commission project or a private sector project? Hon TOM STEPHENS

I thank the member for some notice of this question. (1) No, but I am pleased that this is being contemplated. A conceptual plan was published in The West Australian , including the subject site, on 14 November 2002. (2) It will be a State Housing Commission development and will be serviced and constructed by the private sector.
