As of June 30 2000, for all agencies under the control of the Minister for Police, can you advise -
(1) How many vehicles are leased or owned by those agencies?
(2) Of these, how many are -
(a) passenger vehicles; and
(b) commercial vehicles?
(3) Of the total number of vehicles, how many are -
(a) petrol or diesel powered;
(b) LPG powered; and
(c) powered by other means?
(4) What actions have these agencies taken to increase the proportion of vehicles using Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG)?

(4) The Western Australia Police Service is awaiting a cost/benefit analysis from Kleenheat Gas on introducing LPG to the administrative fleet. In addition, arrangements have been made to obtain a factory police enhanced LPG vehicle to enable formal evaluation to commence.
WA Drug Abuse Strategy Office
1. There are 4 vehicles leased to WADASO through Lease Plan Australia.
2. a) All four vehicles are passenger vehicles.
b) WADASO has no commercial vehicles.
3. All four vehicles are petrol powered.
4. Consideration will be given to the use of vehicles using Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) as vehicles are replaced.
