The Department of Communities does not separate employee contributions into private and owned lease categories. The total cost of rental subsidies for the relevant financial years are as follows (noting the figures for 2021-22 are provided as of 31 March 2022): (a) $4,324,280 (b) $4,313,307 (c) $3,542,197 (as of 31 March 2022). The Department of Communities rental subsidies allow for flexibility in leasing arrangements to provide housing for key government workers to meet the operational requirements of the agencies.
