refer to the announcement that the Greenbushes lithium mine plans to double its
production volume in coming years.
(1) Noting there
are currently 1 146 daily heavy vehicle movements relating to the Greenbushes
lithium mine between Greenbushes and
Bunbury, will plans to double production result in 2 292 truck movements a day?
(2) Will the
government make approval of the mine expansion conditional on transporting its
product by rail?
(3) If no to (2), why not?
(4) If yes to
(2), when will the Greenbushes–Picton rail line be reopened, and who
will fund the repair and maintenance of that rail line?
