BALLAJURA
COMMUNITY COLLEGE — OVERCROWDING
237. Hon SUE ELLERY to the
Minister for Education:
Is the minister aware that year 8 students at Ballajura
Community College have been taught classes in the hallways because they have
been told there is not enough room in the classrooms?

AnswerView source ↗

I thank the honourable member for some notice of the question.
No. We have 800 public schools in Western Australia so I cannot be around what
goes on in the management of those schools on a day-to-day basis. I am not
aware that year 8s will be doing classes in the hallway but now that the Leader
of the Opposition has brought it to my attention, I will investigate.
