LD OPERATIONS PTY LTD — OSMINGTON COAL MINE PROPOSAL
I refer to the Minister for State Development’s answer to question 490, in which he advised that there are 12 pending exploration licence applications; one pending mining lease application; seven granted mining leases and four granted exploration licences over the Vasse coal shelf; and the Minister for Mines and Petroleum’s answer to question 570, in which he stated that seven of the granted mining leases and one exploration licence is covered by the proposed coalmine in Margaret River. (1) Who holds each of the three granted exploration licences, and what area does it cover? (2) For each of the 12 pending exploration licence applications — (a) what is the name of the applicant; (b) what area does each application cover; and (c) at what stage in the issuing process is the application? (3) In relation to the one pending mining lease application — (a) what is the name of the applicant; (b) what area does it cover; and (c) at what stage in the granting process is the application? Hon NORMAN MOORE
