HOUSING DEVELOPMENT INCENTIVE PROGRAM
Given that the cost of building a house has risen dramatically, will the government increase its contribution of $50 000 for each individual dwelling in the housing development incentive program, which provides a grant to local government or community groups? Hon KATE DOUST

AnswerView source ↗

I thank the honourable member for some notice of this question. The grants are designed to make country housing more affordable for local governments and community groups. Generally, grants have been for $50 000. However, in assessing the applications, a recommendation could be made to provide a different amount.
