I ask this question on behalf of Hon Barbara Scott. The federal Government has outlayed $500 000 towards construction of a technology-based small business incubator in Kwinana. The town of Kwinana has committed up to $250 000 and land up to the value of $1.2 million. What level of support will the State Government commit to this important project? Hon KEN TRAVERS

I thank the member for some notice of this question. I am advised that although there will not be a state contribution to the establishment of the Kwinana incubator, the Small Business Development Corporation has been working closely with the Western Australian Incubator Association to develop an incubator assistance package. The package is designed to assist established business incubators and individual-tenant small businesses across Western Australia.
