(1) No.
(a) The Department of Education generally establishes a new school in an urban area when: an existing fully developed school is under significant classroom accommodation pressure and student enrolments at this school are expected to continue to increase; a new school site is available; and a viable number of students currently reside within the catchment area of the proposed school.
(2)  The Department of Education does not have any current plans to establish a primary school in the Bennett Springs area.
(a)  None of the schools in the area are under significant classroom pressure. Nor, are they likely to be in the near future. The Department of Education will continue to monitor residential growth in this area and enrolments at the above schools.
(3) The firebreaks for this site were completed in October 2009, thereby allaying any concerns raised by the residents over a potential fire risk. A further inspection of the site was undertaken on 12 January 2010 and it was advised that no further slashing was required at this time.
(a) Not applicable
(4) The site is programmed to have the fire breaks completed annually. Any rubbish dumped illegally on this site will be removed when brought to the attention of the Department of Education.
