OAKAJEE PORT — MINISTERIAL RESPONSIBILITY 146. Hon CAROLYN BURTON to the Minister for Transport: (1) Can the minister advise whether he has carriage of the issues affecting the development and use of Oakajee port near Geraldton? (2) Has the minister met with Oakajee Port and Rail? Hon SIMON O’BRIEN

AnswerView source ↗

I thank the member for the question. (1)-(2) The prime responsibility for matters related to the development of the port at Oakajee rests with the Premier in his role as Minister for State Development. However, it is a very important issue for the whole of government and, in fact, I have met with representatives from Oakajee Port and Rail.
