ENERGY SAFETY — POWERLINE BAYS
86. Hon STEVE MARTIN to the Minister for Commerce:
I refer to question without notice
1315 asked on 30 November 2022.
(1) Where is the location of each of the ''73
other powerline bays of similar construction'' referred to in part (3) of the answer?
(2) Have the 73 bays been
remediated?

AnswerView source ↗

I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question.
(1) I am advised
they are in different locations across the south west of Western Australia. The
information collected by the Director of Energy Safety is being considered as
part of his active investigation into the Wickepin–Narrogin bushfire.
Releasing this information could prejudice the investigation.
(2) Under the
remediation plan, they will be remediated by the end of 2023. The three urgent
bays, which were of similar lengths and construction to the one involved in the
Wickepin–Narrogin bushfire, have been remediated.
