I refer to the Regional Development Council request to the Department for Regional Development (DRD) to undertake an analysis across the nine regional blueprints to provide advice to help inform robust and strategic state land regional development policy and decision making going forward, and I ask: (a) when is this task expected to be completed; (b) is there a reason for the delay in the release of the regional blueprints; (c) will the outcome of the DRD analysis of the regional blueprints be made public; (d) if no to (c), why not; (e) were any of the blueprints changed in any way during the DRD's analysis task and, if yes, how; and (f) how will Royalties for Regions be changed as a result of the analysis undertaken?

(a) An interim report will be provided to the Regional Development Council before the end of December 2014.
(b) No. The preparation of regional blueprints is a complex undertaking involving extensive research, stakeholder consultation and analysis. It is anticipated that most regional blueprints will be released for public comment before the end of 2014.
(c) No.
(d) The analysis across the regional blueprints is an input to state-level consideration of regional development priorities and activity.
(e) DRD has considered draft regional blueprints as they have been made available by each of the Regional Development Commissions. The analysis across the regional blueprints has not resulted in changes to the documents.
(f) The individual regional blueprints and the subsequent analysis across them will inform regional development decision making, including the strategic allocation of Royalties for Regions funding.
