I refer to Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) services that are operating at a level of maximum approved capacity, and I ask: (a) please table the maximum number of positions approved by the Education and Care Regulatory Unit for public school sites in Bull Creek, Leeming and surrounding areas; (b) as at 1 February 2026, how many children were enrolled at each OHSC service in the above-mentioned areas; (c) what factors determine approved enrolment capacity at each OHSC site; and (d) since 1 February 2023, how many providers have applied to increase their approved capacity?

(a)   The below table shows the number of approved Early Childhood Education and Care services on government school sites by suburb and maximum number of approved places.

(b)  Enrolment data for these services is held by the Commonwealth Department of Education.
(c) Approved capacity is determined by the indoor and outdoor spaces allocated to the Out of School Hours Care service by the school. The Education and Care Regulatory Unit assesses these allocated spaces to ensure they are suitable for use and compliant with legislated requirements.
(d) No services on government school sites in the above suburbs have applied to increase their maximum number of approved places.
