How can this inquiry, specifically into the Department of Justice, include the parole system and the Parole Board when these do not come under the administration of the Department of Justice? Dr G.I. GALLOP

I repeat to the member term of reference No 1. She does not seem to want to listen to it. It reads that “all processes and procedures involved in the assessment, placement, management and rehabilitation of offenders in custody” will be dealt with. I believe that is very clear. That is the matter that the inquirer will look into. Given his eminence and his wisdom, I am sure that he will come up with some excellent conclusions that we will take very seriously.
