TAXIS —
MULTIPURPOSE
872. Ms R. SAFFIOTI to the
Minister for Transport:
I refer to the minister's promise in this place a number
of weeks ago to meet the representatives of the multipurpose taxi operators. I quote

I am happy to have discussions
with the department and personally meet with a group of MPT operators to find
out how it is going.
Following this grievance, why has the minister rejected
meeting the representative MPT group to discuss significant problems in the
industry?

I thank the member for West Swan for the question. I have not
made that commitment to not meet with them. I am unaware that they have been
advised that I am not going to meet with them. I intend to meet with them and
that is my answer.
