I refer to doctor resignations at public hospitals and at the Peel Health Campus since 1 January 2017 and ask: (a) Can the Minister provide a breakdown, by month, for each resignation; and (b) Do any positions remain unfilled: (i) If yes, how many positions remains unfilled and why?

The Department of Health advises:
Resignations are recorded in WA health system Human Resource Information Systems retrospectively and information is not finalised until the following month. Consequently, all figures provided are for the period 1 January to 30 May 2017.
As at 30 May 2017:
(a) Please see the table provided for a breakdown of doctor resignations (Head Count) between January and May 2017.

(b) Yes.
(b)(i) 19 positions remaining unfilled. 16 have recruitment and selection processes that are either planned or in progress and three have no immediate operational need to fill the position.
