QuestionView source ↗
I refer to the comments made by Superintendent Jim Migro on 6PR this morning in which he referred to his strong disappointment in numerous decisions made by the Parole Board of WA, which comments have since been backed by the Commissioner of Police. (1) Does the minister support the position of these two senior police officers? (2) If so, will the minister now insist that the Attorney General immediately review the operations and composition of the Parole Board? Mrs M.H. ROBERTS

(1)-(2) I have not heard the comments made by Jim Migro this morning, but I have certainly heard the comments made by the Commissioner of Police, whose comments I support. The commissioner also indicated today when he spoke to the media that he intends to raise this issue at the next meeting he has with me. I will be very pleased to discuss those issues with the commissioner and, if appropriate, to take them up further with the Attorney General.
