Year coordinators and Year 8 team leaders monitor absentees and support students re-entering learning programs.
School Psychologist, School Chaplain, Aboriginal and Islander Education Officer and School Nurse offer support services to students and their families.
Busselton Police work with the school to bring at risk students back to school.
District Retention and Participation Officer has conducted interim panels with a small number of chronic absentees to put in place attendance plans.
The Senior School Good Standing Policy has undergone a review to tighten the absentee section.
School Newsletters feature articles on the attendance requirements.

A full-time Student Services Coordinator assists students and their families to access appropriate programs and services.
A strong, inclusive Behaviour Management Policy.
Student Services Coordinator and Year Coordinators are housed in the administration area allowing easy communication.
A cool off room is available for short-term withdrawal.
Head of Department, Student Services Coordinators, Deputy Principals, School Psychologist, Chaplain and outside agencies are available to assist in the forming of Individual Behaviour Plans.
The Aboriginal and Islander Education Officer works closely with the school as a member of the Student Services team to assist Indigenous students experiencing difficulty.
The utilisation of the Wardan Program for Aboriginal students is aimed at raising self esteem and cultural awareness.
Youth Worker students on school placements are working to support targeted students.

Literacy coordinator monitors student progress and assists with forming Individual Education Plans where appropriate.
Student academic progress is tracked from year to year.

WALNA and anecdotal data from feeder primary schools is used to identify students at risk entering Year 8.
Attendance and behaviour is monitored.

Programs are similar however, Manjimup and Newton Moore Senior High Schools received more funding for the Behaviour Management and Discipline strategy which has allowed them to reduce class sizes in Years 8 and 9.
Manjimup received $66 200 in 2001-2002, $76 700 in 2003 and $61 300 in 2004.
Newton Moore SHS received 2.5 FTE and $141 900 in 2001-2002; 2.7 FTE and $147 100 in 2003; 2.6 FTE and $124 700 in 2004. Busselton SHS received $45 000 in 2003.
Manjimup also has 2 classroom management consultants working on building knowledge of low key intervention strategies. During Term 4 2004, Busselton Senior High School will be accessing the consultants.
Manjimup is currently involved with the Classroom Relationships Program which involves 14 teachers training in becoming better at observing what is going on in the classroom and the impact of their interventions on students.
Other services such as Chaplain, School Psychologist, AEIO's, School Nurse are similar at all 3 schools.
