KWINANA BULK TERMINAL — SALE
829. Mr B.S. WYATT to the Minister for
Transport:
I have a supplementary question.
Which agency did the valuation of the Kwinana Bulk Terminal?

AnswerView source ↗

Let me clarify: the agencies have
had valuations done as part of the process, but they did not do them themselves
because —
Mr
B.S. Wyatt : Which agency got it done?
Mr T.R. BUSWELL :
It would have been the Department of Transport. The member needs to understand
that the Department of Transport and the State Solicitor are working very
closely on this particular issue. Part of that process has been the engagement
of a third party with commercial experience in this space to assist us with
those commercial aspects. I think that it is entirely appropriate and if the
member looks —
Mrs
M.H. Roberts : Who are they? Who is the third party?
Mr
T.R. BUSWELL : I do not know; an accounting firm.
If the member looks at my
announcement at the time, he will see I indicated very clearly that there were
third party experts assisting us with that process.
Mrs
M.H. Roberts : You won't say who they are?
Mr
T.R. BUSWELL : No, I am not going to say who it is. That is entirely
appropriate.
