977. Hon MARTIN PRITCHARD to the Leader of
the House representing the Premier:
I refer to meetings relating to the
Sultan of Johor.
(1) Between 1
November 2014 and 1 June 2015, did the Premier or anyone from the Premier's
office or Department of the Premier and Cabinet meet with the Sultan of Johor
or persons representing the sultan, including Mack Hall Real Estate?
(2) If yes to (1), and for each
meeting —
(a) what was the date of the meeting;
(b) what was the purpose of the
meeting; and
(c) what were the names of all
persons present at the meeting?

(1) No.
(2) (a)–(c) Not applicable. However, on 2 June 2015 there was
an informal meeting in the Premier's office where the sultan introduced
himself and his plans for the site he purchased. Attendees at the meeting were
the Premier; Richard May; Sultan Ibrahim Ismail of Johor; Mr Avinderjit Singh,
business adviser; Mr Patrick Lim, business adviser; and Mr Mack Hall from Mack
Hall Real Estate. On 2 September 2015 the Premier attended a small social
gathering in his electorate at which the sultan was present.
