Main Roads acknowledges that incorrect information was inadvertently provided in response to a constituent enquiry regarding the principal shared path between Mt Henry Bridge and South Street. The officers who provided the incorrect information have been counselled and reminded of the need to ensure information is correct before it is released.
As the Member would be aware, correct information was provided by Main Roads to the constituent by e-mail on 27 August 2007 together with an apology for any inconvenience that may have been caused. This e-mail was also copied to the Member for his information.
The Member would also be aware that the constituent in question responded on 28 August stating satisfaction that his concerns had "been genuinely acknowledged, explanations provided and action taken". The constituent also copied this response to the Member for Murdoch for his information.
