I raise with the Minister the matter of Rottnest Island management, and ask -
(1) When was the Minister first informed of the errors in the Auditor-General’s report on Rottnest?
(2) Will the Minister table briefings provided to him by the Rottnest Island Authority and any other sources in response to the Auditor-General’s report?
(3) If not, why not?
(4) Will the Minister provide details as to when was the cleaning contract changed and the changes agreed to?
(5) If not, why not?
(6) Did the Minister read the Rottnest Island Taskforce report upon its completion?
(7) Why hasn’t the Minister made any public statements to correct the false impressions, such as nothing being done on Rottnest for 50 years, created by errors in the Auditor-General’s report?
(8) How much has been paid to Pitcher Partners to date and what work have they carried out?
(9) How many accommodation units have been refurbished since February 2001?
