I refer to the new C-series trains, and I ask: (a) in relation to the DAVS camera, are reports accurate that the picture can become blocked during the rain, due to a lack of wipers, requiring a manual clearance check from the driver?

(a)  C-Series trains are fitted with external door cameras. As occurs with PTA’s other electric railcars if the camera view is obscured or not available, railcar drivers are trained to perform a visual platform check before departing.
