I refer to the media statement released by Graham Jacobs on 28 March 2010 entitled, ‘Funding to encourage communities to talk and learn about suicide’, and I ask -
(1) Will the Government be funding Lifeline’s ‘suicideTALK’ every year?
(2) If no to (1), why not?

(1-2) Specific funding for Lifeline WA to provide five 'suicideTALK' forums was provided by the Mental Health Commission as a non-recurrent initiative.
Education programs, such as those provided by Lifeline are considered by the Ministerial Council for Suicide Prevention as part of the Western Australian Suicide Prevention Strategy on a community by community basis as part of Community led Action Plans.
