representing the Minister for Regional Development:
I refer to the regional strategic projects budget item.
(1) For each of 2011–12 and 2012–13 to date —
(a) what was the total amount
allocated to that item;
(b) what was the total amount
allocated to specific approved projects under that item; and
(c) what was the total amount
spent on those projects?
(2) For each of 2013–14, 2014–15 and 2015–16
—
(a) what is the total amount
allocated to that item; and
(b) what is the total amount
allocated to specific approved projects under that item?
(3) For each of the financial years in (1) and (2) —
(a) what is the name of each
approved project funded through the scheme;
(b) what is the total amount
allocated to each project; and
(c) for 2011–12 and 2012–13,
what is the total amount spent on each project in that financial year?

(1) (a) For 2011–l2, $58.l million, and for 2012–13,
$51 million.
(b) For the
regional grants scheme, $20.5 million in 2011–12 and $24.4 million in
2012–13. For regional strategic projects, $12.2 million in 2011–12
and $2.9 million in 2012–13. For action agenda projects, $25.4 million
in 2011–12 and $23.7 million in 2012–13.
(c) Actual
information for 2011–12 will be released as per the state budget
midyear review. Data for the 2012–13 financial year will be available
at the end of the financial year.
(2) (a) For 2013–14, $138.9 million; for 2014–15,
$113.5 million; and for 2015–16, $170.3 million.
(b) For the
regional grants scheme, $1 million for 2013–14 has been allocated to
each regional development commission. Projects have yet to be funded. No
further funds have been allocated in the out years. For regional strategic
projects, $3.4 million in 2013–14, $2.7 million in 2014–15; and
$0.9 million in 2015–16. For action agenda projects, $14.7 million in
2013–14, $5.8 million in 2014–15 and nil in 2015–16.
(3) (a)–(b)
Royalties for regions allocations are detailed in the royalties for regions
progress report. The 2011–12 progress report will be reported to
Parliament before the end of this calendar year.
(c) 2011–12
actual information will be released as per the midyear review. Data for the
2012–13 financial year will be available at the end of the financial
year.
