I thank the honourable member for some notice of the
question. This report was prepared by the Motor Vehicle Industry Board for my
predecessor to assist in planning for the transition of the functions of the
board to the Department of Commerce and the Commissioner for Consumer
Protection. To date, I have not sighted this report. However, I will now ask to
see the document and will consider tabling it along with a summary of the
progress of the reform, which, by all accounts, has been very successful.
