Coronavirus—Vaccination—Children
380. Hon Rod Caddies to
the Leader of the House representing the
Minister for Preventative Health:
I refer to the
COVID-19 vaccination of Western Australian children.
(1) How many Western Australians aged 18 years and
younger received a COVID-19 vaccination between 1 October 2021 and 30 June
2023?
(2) Can the minister confirm that COVID-19
vaccines were initially deemed to be safe and effective for all children and
that they are now no longer recommended, as the risks outweigh the benefits?
(3) Can the minister outline what risks from the
COVID-19 vaccination for people under 18 years of age are known to the WA
Department of Health?
(4) Is the WA Department of Health conducting
ongoing surveillance of possible long-term impacts of COVID-19 vaccines on
Western Australians who received them as children?
