I thank the member for some notice of this question. (1) LandCorp is subject to the requirements of the legislation that regulates the clearing of native vegetation, including the Environmental Protection Act 1986 and the Soil and Land Conservation Act 1945. (2) The Environmental Protection Authority’s assessment of the proposed industrial subdivision at lot 502 North Lake Road, Bibra Lake has not been concluded. (3) The EPA has advised that it expects to report within three months from the close of the public review period on 14 October 2002. A decision will be made after consideration of any appeals that may be lodged during the appeal period.
