It is understood that the Australian Fodder Industry Association has not yet introduced guidelines for the transport of hay. However, Main Roads WA has developed guidelines for the safe transport of baled hay/straw. These include: · Management Scheme for the Cartage of Large Bales of Hay and Straw (currently under 12 month trial); and · Permits for General Access vehicles carrying divisible overwidth loads. Both of these guidelines are available from the Main Roads’ Heavy Vehicle Operations web page.
