SCHOOLS — STUDENT SUSPENSIONS
302. Hon SUE ELLERY to the Minister for
Education:
(1) For 2016 to date, how many
students have been suspended in —
(a) primary schools; and
(b) secondary schools?
(2) For the same period in 2015 how
many students were suspended in —
(a) primary schools; and
(b) secondary schools?

I thank the honourable member for
some notice of this question.
(1) As at 1 April 2016 —
(a) the number of students suspended
from primary schools is 1 063; and
� (b) the number of students suspended from
secondary schools is 3 202.
(2) As at 2 April 2015 —
(a) the number of students suspended
from primary schools was 1 069; and
� (b) the number of students suspended from
secondary schools was 3 656. So, that has come down.
