Fiona Stanley Hospital—Cardiac equipment
343. Ms Libby Mettam to
the Minister for Health:
I have a
supplementary question.
Does the minister
endorse the Director General of Health's approach of trying to identify a
concerned whistleblower instead of convincing the Expenditure Review Committee
to actually fund equipment?
The Speaker: Sorry, member for Vasse; supplementary
questions have one question to them.
Ms Libby Mettam: Okay. Does the minister endorse the
Director General of Health's approach of trying to identify a concerned
whistleblower in relation to this and making that the priority instead of
obtaining the funds?

Director General of the Department of Health has my absolute confidence. She is
doing a really difficult job. She is doing a tough job on behalf of the people
of Western Australia, ensuring that people have access to high-quality, safe
health care no matter where they live in this state. She is working with our
health service providers to get through one of the most difficult winters on
record—
