The information provided relates to State Fleet, which provides the majority, but not all, of the government’s passenger and light commercial vehicles. Data is not readily available for vehicles held outside State Fleet. (1) 30 June 2001, 8 915; 30 June 2005, 9 423; 30 June 2006, 10 082; and 30 April 2007, 10 496. (2) The annual cost of leasing these vehicles is as follows: 30 June 2001, $50 464 353, which excludes Matrix transaction termination costs; 30 June 2005, $56 109 971; 30 June 2006, $61 025 221; and 31 March 2007, $49 869 337, being nine months to 31 March 2007. (3) The Fleet Steering Committee currently comprises Mr Timothy Marney, Under Treasurer, chair; Mr Mal Wauchope, director general, Department of the Premier and Cabinet; Ms Susan Barrera, executive director, labour relations, Department of Consumer and Employment Protection; and Mr Doug Tyler, director, financial operations, Department of Treasury and Finance, executive officer.
