(1) In recognition of the current Urban zoning in the Metropolitan Region Scheme for this site, a negotiated outcome (which involves a compromise between conservation and development) has been proposed by the University. At officer level, the Ministry for Planning has indicated that the proposal is generally acceptable on Bushplan grounds as expected for the site under Perth's Bushplan. However, there are other outstanding planning and environmental issues which need to be addressed.
