At the 2018-19 annual report hearings held on 12 November 2019 it was revealed that the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development was short of 200 employment positions, and I ask:
(a) is there any reason why there are 200 vacancies within the department;
(b) when are these vacancies likely to be filled; and
(c) will the Minister please list all positions that are currently vacant in the department?

As of 18 December 2019, the Department had a revised total of 95 recruitments in progress.

We anticipate of the 95 recruitments, at least 30 per cent of these will be completed by 31 January 2020.
