I refer to information on the Mt. Barker Wind Farm contained in the 2009 Annual Report of the Office of Energy, and ask -
(1) What will the energy provided by the Mt Barker wind farm constitute as a percentage of the South West interconnected grid and the State as a whole?
(2) What level of fiscal maintenance support for these projects was allocated for this project in 2009-2010?

(1) The Mt Barker Wind Farm is expected to generate approximately 7,500 megawatt hours per year. This equates to about 0.05% of the electricity sent out on the South West Interconnected System in 2007/08 and about 0.02% of electricity generated in Western Australia in 2007/08.
(2) The Mt Barker Wind Farm will receive funding from the Renewable Remote Power Generation Program which is funded by the Commonwealth Government and administered in Western Australia by the Office of Energy. Rebates are paid by the Office of Energy and then recouped from the Commonwealth.
In 2009-2010 the Office of Energy expects to pay $205,000 to the Mt Barker Wind Farm.
