(a - g) The response to the question consists of five tables. Each table has data for each of the dates requested, presented in monthly blocks for Emergency Department (ED) waiting times, where ED waiting time is the length of time from presentation at the ED to the time the patient is seen by a doctor (for metropolitan hospitals). [See tabled paper no].
As is customary for data requested about waiting times, median figures are presented rather than average (mean) and waiting times are calculated in minutes.
