(1) In keeping with the Cabinet-endorsed Percent for Art policy, up to one percent of construction budgets for building projects greater than $2 million may be committed to the commissioning of art from Western Australian artists.
This allocation is at the discretion of individual agencies and is determined on a project-by-project basis.
Based on the published estimated for contracts expected to be awarded in
2009-10, approximately $2.9 million is expected to be committed to art commissions for public buildings in the metropolitan area.
In 2009-10, approximately $0.8 million is expected to be committed to art commissions for public buildings in regional areas.
