LAW AND ORDER — SENIORS' SECURITY
408. Mrs M.H. ROBERTS to the Minister for Police:
I have a supplementary question. After four years in
government, is it not an astonishing admission of incompetence that elderly
people are so frightened in their homes and that assaults have gone up by 48 per
cent?

AnswerView source ↗

I would need to check the member for
Midland's data with respect to that specific information about
assaults.
Several members interjected.
The SPEAKER : Thank you, members!
Mrs
L.M. HARVEY : I am pleased to inform the house that on this government's
watch overall recorded crime is down, and has been down, somewhere in the
region of between nine and 12 per cent for each quarter.
