The "Environmental, Social and Economic Review of the Gorgon Gas Development", as issued for public comment by ChevronTexaco Australia in 2003, stated that gas from the Greater Gorgon Area (including the Jansz field) would be considered for processing on Barrow Island. Similarly, in the "Guidelines for an Environmental Impact Statement and Environmental Scoping Document for an Environmental Review and Management Programme for the Gorgon Development" issued in April 2004, ChevronTexaco Australia again indicated that approval would be sought for Greater Gorgon Area gas (including the Jansz field) to be processed on Barrow Island.
