TAB — PRIVATISATION
299. Mr M. McGOWAN to the
Premier:
I have a supplementary question. Was the Minister for Racing and
Gaming correct when he clearly said to this Parliament that it is not in the
interests of the state to privatise the TAB? Was he correct?

The Leader of the Opposition should ask him the question. I
think it was a very proper thing to say.
Mr M. McGowan : You're
just the Premier.
Mr C.J. BARNETT :
You just stop interrupting. Your performance today has been disgraceful.
The future of the TAB will be considered at some stage over
the coming years. The comments made by the Minister for Racing and Gaming were
perfectly proper, as indeed were my comments a couple of years ago.
