1. Three consultant reports and a summary report have been commissioned by the Department of Health.
2. Of the three reports, the following detail is provided:
- Estill and Associates Community Consultation report did not rank the sites.
- Price Waterhouse Coopers (PWC) Financial Evaluation report ranked and compared the sites - the Vasse site was preferred for private co-location opportunities.
- Sinclair Knight Merz (SKM) Site Technical Evaluation report considered a comprehensive range of criteria without an overall ranking being provided. The different sites were ranked higher or lower in different categories.
3. None. However, in the PWC report, the Vasse Newtown site was ranked higher than the existing site as it has the potential to benefit significantly from collocation with an aged care facility. The two remaining reports did not rank the sites in any order of preference but provided a comprehensive assessment against a number of criteria.
4. The Vasse site provides the potential to maximise the synergies with the private health providers and for greater development opportunities, with more land area available for the health precinct development. The Vasse site will deliver the best long term outcome for the community.
