(2) Are members of the Canine Association of Western Australia represented on these committees; and
(a) if not, why not?

(1) The Department of Local Government and Regional Development has a representative on the national Australian and New Zealand Companion Animal Working Group which considers matters relating to the regulation and control of cats and dogs.
(2) No
(a) The Canine Association of WA is not represented on the Working Group as the latter's membership is made up of officers representing the departments in each jurisdiction which have responsibility for the legislation providing for the management and control of cats and dogs.
