Carnarvon Dual Purpose Centre
- estimated expenditure $3.04m.
Under the Royalties for Regions (RfR) program, the Drug and Alcohol Office (DAO) has funding for the construction and operation of a Dual Purpose Alcohol and other Drug Centre in Carnarvon.
The dual purpose centre will be located within the Carnarvon Health Campus and the service model will enable integration and improved opportunities for case management and care coordination of clients' needs through conventional health care, immediate intoxication management, longer term treatment and visiting in-reach services.
The centre will accommodate a ten bed Sobering-up Centre operating from 4pm to 8am five evenings a week, and a Community Drug Service providing counselling, prevention and community development services during normal business hours.
Construction of the centre is underway and the anticipated completion of capital works is early 2014/15.
Minor Building Works - Kimberley and Pilbara
- estimated expenditure $300,000.
Under the Royalties for Regions program, $300k funding was provided for minor works for the upgrade of existing DAO premises at Halls Creek.
