Seaborne Street and Brooking Road—upgrades
1140. Hon Anthony Spagnolo to the parliamentary secretary representing the Minister
for Transport:
There are
significant community interests in the state government's involvement in the Seaborne
Street and Brooking Road upgrades in the Perth hills.
(1) What funding has been allocated in the 2025–26
budget and in the forward estimates for:
(a) the Seaborne Street upgrade; and
(b) the Brooking Road upgrade?
(2) What proportion of this funding is provided by
the state and what proportion, if any, is provided by the Commonwealth for each
of these projects?
(3) When are works on the Seaborne Street and
Brooking Road upgrades expected to commence and be completed?

I thank the
honourable member for some notice of the question and provide the following
answer on behalf of the Minister for Transport. This answer was correct as at
Thursday 13 November.
(1) (a) There is $450,029.
(b) There is $2,665,178.
(2) The federal government is funding $1,487,712 towards
Brooking Road, with no additional federal funding being contributed to Seaborne
Street.
(3) Land acquisition and design has commenced for
Seaborne Street. Works are underway at Brooking Road.
