I refer to the review conducted by the Department of Fisheries' Salmon and Herring Working Group, and ask: (a) when was the report completed and where is it now; (b) when will the report be made public and will you brief the House on its findings; (c) when will you be making a decision on the report; and (d) considering the importance of this report to the fishing industry, when will the report be released?

(a) The Australian Herring and West Australian Salmon Scientific Workshop involved participants from the commercial herring and salmon fisheries, the Western Australian Fishing Industry Council (WAFIC), independent scientists and Recfishwest. The report of the workshop was publicly released on 11 July 2018 and is available on the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development’s website.

(c) The report will be used to inform management decisions relating to the herring and salmon resources.
