(a) 16 700 kilolitres per day.
(b) (i) 2006-2007: 5 598 665 kilolitres
(ii) 2007-2008: 6 009 893 kilolitres
(iii) 2008-2009: 4 895 648 kilolitres
(iv) 2009 to February 2010: 3 354 113 kilolitres
(c) (i) 2006-2007: 3 597 098 kilolitres
(ii) 2007-2008: 4 233 147 kilolitres
(iii) 2008-2009: 4 343 646 kilolitres
(iv) 2009 to February 2010: 2 741 803 kilolitres
(d) In June 2009, an expression of interest was called to gauge industry's new/future demands for the Kwinana Water Reclamation Plant (KWRP ) water, over and above the existing commitments. Only one response was received and for an amount too small to economically justify a plant expansion.
A contract of one of the major customers of KWRP is soon to expire, and this potentially spare capacity is the main consideration in meeting future demands should they rise. Additionally, another major customer of the plant is currently not in operation. If work does not resume, there will be significant excess capacity in the existing plant, thus reducing the need for expansion at this time.
