TAXIDRIVER — ALLEGED ASSAULT
512. Hon KEN TRAVERS to the minister representing the Minister for Transport :
I refer to the incident reported in the Eastern Reporter on 28 May 2012 regarding a taxidriver taking a
passenger to Bassendean.
(1) Has the Department of Transport completed
its investigation into this matter; and, if so, on what date was it completed?
(2) Has WA Police
completed its investigation?
(3) If yes to (1) or
(2), what was the outcome of these investigations?
(4) Has the driver
been charged with any offences?
(5) Has the
taxidriver's licence been suspended or cancelled?
(6) If yes to (5), on
what date did this occur and for how long will any suspension last?

(1) Yes, on 2 August 2012.
(2) Yes.
(3) The complainant
withdrew her complaint and no charges were laid by Western Australia Police.
(4)–(5) No.
