I refer to the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development's $2 million education campaign to promote new fishing rules and increase recreational stewardship across metropolitan and regional areas, and I ask: (a) How much as been spent to date on advertising; and (b) Please breakdown advertising by: (i) Expenditure on social media or electronic advertising including on what platforms and what were the dates for each advertising placement; (ii) Expenditure on radio advertising including on what stations and what were the dates for each advertising placement; (iii) Expenditure on newspaper advertising (both print and online) including what publications and what were the dates for each advertising placement; (iv) What agency handled creative and what was the expenditure on creative; (v) What agency handled advertising placements and what was the expenditure; and (vi) Was any market research conducted or is being conducted to measure the impact of the advertising campaign, if yes: (A) What was the expenditure? (B) Which agency handled the market research?

(a) As at 17 December, $255,362.91 (ex. GST) has been spent on advertising.
(b) (i – iii) [See Tabled Paper No]. for expenditure on and dates of placement for social media, digital, radio and newspaper advertising.
(iv) Rare Creative Thinking was engaged for the campaign creative, and expenditure as at 17 Dec 2025 is $180,166.28 (ex. GST).
(v) Carat Australia Media Services Pty Ltd was contracted for media planning and booking under the mandatory Media Booking, Buying and Planning Services for Advertising Government Common Use Arrangement, and expenditure as at 17 December is $289,160.41(ex. GST).
(vi) (A) (B) A campaign evaluation will be undertaken in line with the Government Campaign Advertising policy.
