FIREFIGHTING APPLIANCES
466. Hon ALANNA CLOHESY to the minister representing
the Minister for Environment:
I ask this question on behalf of Hon Stephen Dawson, who had to leave the
chamber on urgent parliamentary business.
I refer to the Minister for Environment's answer to
Legislative Assembly question on notice 815 concerning the Department of Parks
and Wildlife's compliance with two improvement notices issued by
WorkSafe WA.
(1) Can the
Minister for Environment confirm that seven new trucks have the requisite
safety protection already present and provide the current locations of those
trucks?
(2) In relation to the remaining 110 trucks, have tenders
gone out and been awarded for this work?
(3) If yes to (2), on what date were tenders sought and on
what date was the contract awarded?
(4) By what date will the remaining 110 trucks be
retrofitted?
(5) Will those
trucks continue to be used for firefighting and prescribed burns prior to these
modifications being installed?
